Services to celebrate the life of Rebecca Wood, 80, are scheduled for 1 pm Saturday at McPeters Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey Trammel officiating. Burial will follow in Meeks Cemetery in Guys, TN.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11 am until 1 pm at McPeters Funeral Home.

Rebecca died on February 13, 2018 at her residence. She was born on August 20, 1937 in Alcorn Co to the late Edwin Houston and Vance Dilworth Meeks. She was a 1955 graduate of Corinth High School and went on to graduate from Hawkins Business College in Memphis. She was most recently employed with E.S. Bishop Center for 14 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling with her friend Jim and loved spending time with her dogs.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Allie and Christopher McEntire of Fayetteville, AR; special friends, Jim Cooper of Jackson, TN and Linda Murphy of Corinth; sister-in-law, Kay Meeks of Bethel Springs, TN; her loving caregivers, Amelia Johnson, Ann Patterson, Brittney Ross, Candy Bradley, Deb Smith, Naomi Wallis, Pam Bates, Vicki Feazell, Lydia Tucker, Brenda Cochran, Mary Kelley, Tress Keith, her co-workers and clients and the Bishop Center and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Chris McEntire and her brothers, Edwin Dilworth Meeks, Lowell Houston Meeks, and Thomas Anthony Meeks.
