A graveside services with Military Honors for Richard Horton, 70, will be held on Friday January 30th at 2:00 p.m. in Henry Cemetery.
Richard died on Tuesday January 27th at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo. He was born on July 20, 1944 to the late Joe and Carrie Horton. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army with overseas duty in Vietnam and was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; James Killingworth, Lester Horton, and a sister; Bonnie Barnes.
Richard is survived by his wife of 37 years; Carolyn Horton, a daughter; Kym (Tim) Ewing of Stantonville, TN, stepsons; Tracy (Diann) Talley, Randy (Wendy) Talley, Richie (Samantha) Talley and Greg (Pam) Talley, two sisters; Melba Helton, Ruby Hicks and 3 grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday January 29th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and a private family service to be held on Friday.
