Beth, Most people don't have a clue about losing a child and never will.  We all hope that this will never happen, but it does, and it is a pain like no other.  There are no words that comfort the loss and no time that makes it all go away.  We will see our children again one day and that is our only hope in this life. Were to begin, my heart hurts everyday 
I think about it, there is no way I can say how you feel, but to help you in these days to come, Casey and I were friends doing what we did best hanging out , talking about the fishing trips to come,and the offroading. On June 25th my friend and I were doing what we like to do, we took off that morning with my family and close friends to go and have a great day. I remember you and my nephew getting pulled over by the ranger in the watercraft. Because of my nephew  speeding. I remember that you got close the ranger and he said dont splash me, you laughed.We came back to the shore and re grouped to go out. Casey I cant tell you how much fun we have had in the 5 months but it was a good friendship. I remember going to Maddogs with you and David sitting and talking about times to come.Every day is new one for me, I try to put the accident behind me, I cant your were my friend and I feel that I could of done more, I thank all of those people that helped me that day. But I will never forget it. It sits in my head keeps me awake, I can tell you this the last 4 weeks have really gotten to me. I see your mom daily and I see you, iI talked to your dad and you sound like him. I know some day I will be able to let it rest, but I cant you were my best friend and I miss you, I know we had only been friends for a short while but it was fun, I will always remember you for who you were and how fun it was to hang out. Please rest in peace my friend and I regret everday that you are not here cracking the damn jokes. My heart aches every day for you and your family. I wish I could go back to that day and say nope lets go home. You wanted that last ride to the dam, I said yes and we went off into the direction off the dam. Not knowing this would be are last. You have been a great friend and I will never forget you. Nobody know how I feel,I was with you that day and I will never forget it. Some day will meet up again and contuine the friendship, on that enternal fishing trip in the sky, over those blue skies. Casey you are greatly missed and I will always caring you in my heart, friends dont forget friends. Miss you.

You always were the one and only person I knew was there for me. I was never alone while you were around. There were countless days and weekends at Keisha's and your uncle's in Richmond. I remember my third deployment in 2005-2006. Every time I had a convoy to Balad, I would call you and come see you for lunch or just to hang out.... Casey Tankersley, I just want to thank you for all the great memories. You friendship has meant the world to me and I am truly blesses to have a friend like you. The 8 years of friendship will be remembered for the rest of my life. I look forward to staying in contact with all your loved ones and being there for them. If we could learn anything from Casey it is to live each day to the full extent. Casey showed us that there is no need to hold back and he never backed down. Casey did not show fear. Here is to all the life lessons you have shown me. I love you Casey!

Man this is still a dream. I miss you and it is hard to think that it will be so long before I see you again. I remember our first deployment. 2003 we ended up going our separate ways. I went to the pump stations and you drove the Colonel. We both came back together and Keisha Turner Ruble picked us up and took us to eat. All of your ...family was so loving and helpful. You are so lucky. Casey your life was cut short, but you did live a full life. You did everything to the fullest without any fear. I remember the trip to Mississippi around Christmas. You got me into paintball that year. Your parents took me in and got me a blanket "Houston Texans" for Christmas (Beth Albright Tankersley that meant so much to me). I remember you taking your Saturday off to help me move into my apartment and the time you rushed over to the apartment and jumped the railroad tracks and totaled your car trying to get there so fast to catch me.See More

Please accept my sincere condolences, I am so sorry to hear of Casey's passing. I only knew Casey briefly when him and Jessica got married here in Va before they moved to Ft.Campbell.
Our prayers go out to your family and Jessica Tankersley.

Levon and Beth I am so sorry to hear of Casey's death. I can only imagine what you are feeling right now. I'm so sorry I can't be there, but please know I love you guys and I am praying for you.

Please accept my sincerest condolences for your family's loss.I am the one that witnessed Casey's accident and tried to help him in the water.Myself and a few other people did all we could to save him and although I didn't know him, it still saddens me deeply to know he has passed.Peace to you all.
