Services to celebrate the life of Robert Wilbanks, 88, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday at McPeters Funeral Directors, Inc. with burial to follow in the Farmington Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. at McPeters.
Robert died on February 28, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born on April 10, 1929 to the late Talmadge Lee and Velma Shaw Wilbanks. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had a career at ITT and after retiring worked as a security officer at the WIN Job Center until he was 83. He was a member of Farmington Baptist Church and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Wilbanks of Corinth; sons, Kevin Wilbanks (Jennifer) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Michael Wilbanks of Atlanta; daughter, Kathy Stutts (Jimmy) of Corinth; grandchildren, Jennifer Stutts, Noah Stutts, Natalie Wilbanks and Rayann Wilbanks; son-in-law, Stanley White of Glen and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Debra Wilbanks White; brothers, Bynum, Clayton, Hershel Wilbanks and sisters, Vergie Wren and Ruth Caldwell.
Bro. Jared Cox will officiate the service.

My thoughts and Prayers are with you at this sad time in your lives. Ms Betty you got to keep him a long ,long time. Kevin ,Michael and Kathy I know he was a wonderful Dad to all of you and Grandpa too. I remember the times we came to your home and always left with tomatoes ,which were very good. I would like to attend the funeral ,but am ill , God bless you all.
