

James Ronald Choate, 68, of Corinth went to rest peacefully in his eternal home on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was born December 14, 1956 to the late Irvin Choate and Deloris Harville Cubero.
Ronald was a man of God, a devout Christian who spreaded the message and praised God's name. He was a mixed martial arts enthusiast and a fourth degree black belt in Taekwondo. He spent many years as a martial arts instructor for Corinth and the surrounding communities.
He wished to send a sincere and personal "Thank You" to the hospital staff and all the healthcare workers that dedicated their time to his care. Ronald will forever be loved, cherished and missed by his family, friends and community.
Ronald was welcomed home by his parents and two brothers, Tim Choate and Anthony Cubero.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cheryl Choate; son, Tony Choate (Emily); daughter, Jodi Choate; brothers, Mark Choate, David Cubero and Jeffery Cubero; sister, Teresa Choate; grandchildren, Laura McCormick (JJ), Mary Choate, Emma Choate, Owen Choate, and Ruby Choate; great-grandchildren, Ruth McCormick and Henry McCormick; and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers for today's service will be; Mark Choate, David Cubero, Jeffery Cubero, Steve McCoy, Travis Smith, Duane Wright; honorary pallbearers; Owen Choate and J. J. McCormick.
