With longing hearts, we announce Rosemary Parks,84, faithful servant, was called home on April 17, 2025. Rosemary was born March 13, 1941 in Houston, TX to the late Erold and Earline Myers. In 1959 she married the late William “Moon” Parks, II. Rosemary and Moon shared 47 years together until his death in 2006. In the years following their marriage, they relocated to the farming community of Kossuth where they raised their children, Mary Beth and Bill. Rosemary enjoyed homemaking, gardening and serving the Gift Community Center.
Family was integral to her life, and she loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Rosemary loved holidays of all kinds, taking the opportunity to decorate, cook, and spend time together. She was fortunate enough to enjoy 5 great grandchildren, and she was especially excited to welcome the family’s first set of twins in April. Rosemary had close relationships with her siblings, Dick and Iris. She shared special interests with each of her nieces and nephews who collectively nicknamed her “Moey.”
She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Corinth, MS and the Gleamer’s Sunday school class. Rosemary enjoyed singing in the choir and loved participating in the “Singing Christmas Tree”. She often mentioned her favorite “hymns of faith” and scriptures. She reminded us that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning,” which sustains us today.
Rosemary was an artist and a creator. Her vast array of hobbies included ceramics, doll making, painting, singing and floral design. She had a “green thumb” and loved working in her garden at home, growing a variety of flowers and rose bushes which she tended to with care. At 58, she challenged herself to complete her education and went back to school earning a nursing license and serving patients at Whitfield Nursing Home for 17 years.
Rosemary married Francis Pavlosky in 2015 in Houston, TX. They resided in Corinth for the last 10 years.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Francis Pavlosky; daughter, Mary Beth; son, William Edward Parks, III (Carmen); grandchildren, Amy Hubbard (Brad), Carrie Baker (Bobby), Casey Parks, and Avery Parks (Kimberly); 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren on the way.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Moon Parks, II; parents, Errold and Earline Myers; siblings, Errold Dickinson Myers and Iris Morris; and nephew, Mike Myers.
Pallbearers include Casey Parks, Avery Parks, Randall Bush, Bobby Baker, Brad Hubbard, Steve Willbanks, Nathan VanHorn
