Ruth Maxine Meeks

Funeral services for Ruth Maxine Meeks, 95, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fraley's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until service time.

Mrs. Meeks passed away on June 30, 2026. She was born on March 12, 1931 to the late Charles Edgar and Vera Daphne Haley. She worked several jobs before becoming a registered nurse. She had a childlike heart. She taught everyone in the family how to read their Bibles and pray. She loved children, dogs and enjoyed crocheting and embroidering. She was a great wife, mother, granny and Christian example.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Meeks; son, Michael Meeks; grandson, Bo Meeks; and her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Sondra Dengler (Charles) and Cindy Condra (Jeff); sister, Marguerite Haley Miller; daughter-in-law, Jane Meeks: grand-children, Charles Dengler, III (Stacey), James Dengler (Wendy), Heather Cunningham (John), Sally Kate Scroggs (fiance,David Fabacher), JP Moon (Devi), and Caitlin Porter (Curtis); great-grandchildren, Charles Dengler, IV, Kadin Dengler, Lynn Dengler, Samantha Saxton (Bryan), Jacob Dengler, Jourdan Hooper (Josh), John Turner Moon, Cora Jean Moon, Samuel Moon, Lilli Burcham, Andrew Strickland, James Michael Peavy (Sarah), Ella Scroggs, and Betsy Scroggs; and great-great grandchildren, Lottie Lynn Peavy, Maverick Dengler Hooper, Greyson Dengler, Haizel Hooper, Kayleigh Mae Saxton, and Hank Floyd Dengler Hooper.
