Ruth Naomi Roberts

Ms. Roberts died on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born on February 8, 1945 to Marie Settlemires Lockhart and the late Thomas Barnes Jr. She never met a stranger and was a friend to all. During her life, she loved to play bingo, dancing, listen to gospel music, and never missed a clearance rack.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Roberts; one brother, Buddy Barnes; and her step-father, Rex Lockhart.

Along with her mother, she is survived by three daughters, Rita Barnes Smith and husband David of Auburn, AL, Renee Howard and husband Bill of Louisville, KY, and Toni Stanfield and husband Kevin of Boaz, AL; one sister, Brenda Reed of Corinth, MS; eight grandchildren; her step-mother, Martha Barnes of Southhaven,MS; two step-brother, Reb Lockhart, Greeenville, AL,and Jeffery Clark Green of Southhaven, MS; one step-sister, Phyllis Haas, Tampa, FL; and friend, Danny several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
