Mrs. Wages died on Friday, December 20th at Magnolia Regional Hospital. She was born in Union County on August 27, 1933 to the late Johnny Allen and Pearl Melson Hardy. She was a hard working pastor's wife that was always looking out for the needs of others and putting them before her own. She enjoyed working with the kids and teens in the church, often handing them little cards with scripture on it for them to memorize. But her biggest joy in life, was the 60 years that she spent with the love of her life, and seeing him receive not one but two Doctorates of Theology.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Wages was preceded one brother, Roy Hardy.
Survivors include her husband, Bro. Bill Wages; one daughter, Kay McMillan and husband Phillip; one sister, Ruby Burks; three grandchildren, Kacie Hardin, Barry Parker and wife Leah, and Kerry Parker and wife Nevaree; five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, her church family, and a host of friends.
