Samuel Kemp

Samuel Clark Kemp passed away on March 4, 2026 in Corinth. He was born on October 12, 1940 to Claude Wesley and Mary Evelyn Taylor Kemp. Sam was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church, PCUSA, where he served as an elder.

Sam is survived by his wife, Mary Dee Morton Kemp; three daughters, Jan Kemp Kaplan and husband David, Jodi Kemp McNeese and husband Mike, and Julie Kemp Miller and husband Duncan; and sister, Mary Nell Kemp Kuhlo and husband Bob. He is also survived by eight beloved grandchildren: Lucy Isadora Kaplan, Samuel Jacob Kaplan, CK Kaplan, Mary Daley McNeese, Catherine Caid McNeese, Claire Kemp McNeese, Thomas Duncan Miller, and Max Burnett Miller.

A Memorial Service will be held at New Hope Presbyterian Church at 499 County Road 513, Rienzi, Mississippi, on March 14, 2026 at noon.

A Family and Friends Gathering will follow the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Living Water World Missions (livingwaterworldmissions.org) or French Camp Academy (frenchcamp.org), or the charity of the donor's choice.
