
Mrs. Sara Louise Key Hudson, 91, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Mt. Royal Towers in Birmingham, AL. Her husband, Robert Carroll Hudson, preceded her in death in 1990. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Corinth and member of the Women of the Church.
She received her BA in Education in 1970 and her MS in Library Science in 1972 both from the University of Mississippi. She worked as teacher and librarian at Biggersville High School, establishing the library system there. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Iota.
Mrs. Hudson was a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and served as local President of Colonial Dames 17th Century. Mrs. Hudson was a volunteer Pink Lady at the Magnolia Hospital for seven years. She was a member of The Little Garden Club of Corinth being instrumental in placing the holly trees along the streets of Corinth.
Services for Mrs. Hudson have been scheduled for 11:30 A.M. Saturday, October 13th at the First Presbyterian Church preceded by visitation there at 10:30 A.M. Dr. Don Elliott and the Rev. Christy Morgan officiating. Rev. Nicholas Phillips will officiate the committal at New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Biggersville.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth McAnally and husband Lon Charleston, SC, Kay Beavo and husband Joe Seattle, WA and Judy Eshee and husband Denny Starkville, MS; one sister, Nell Payne, Collinsville, IL; 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Denny Eshee, Lon McAnally, Joe Beavo, Denver Eshee, Andy Beavo, Paul McMinn, Andrew Labas and Larry Hudson will serve as pallbearers.
