

Mrs. Massengill died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born in Scotland on Tuesday, June 21, 1938, to the late Jack and Agnes Dawson McKechnie. During her life, she was a factory worker for Winfield and ITT. She was also the former owner of The Frosty Mug. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was the happiest when she was with her children and grandchildren, which she loved and adored very much.
Mrs. Massengill was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Agnes McKechnie.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Cecil Massengill Jr.; two sons, John Massengill and his wife Faye and Alex Massengill and his wife Heather; four daughters, Debra Massengill of Corinth, Lorraine Taylor and her husband James, Karen Massengill and her friend Jim Mitchell and Jolene Calvert; a brother, Stewart McKechnie of England; a sister, Rena Featherstone of England; grandchildren Thomas Massengill and his wife Seslie, Selena Massengill and friend Jet Thomas, Ryan Massengill, Brooke Bassett, Michelle Redmon, Bobbie Joe Hardin, David Frost II, Nathaniel Wilson, Trenton O’Neal Nunley, Ashley Manley and her husband Michael, Drake and Adyson Massengill, Matt Washington, Cody Dunn and Katelyn Calvert; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 6th from 1 p.m. until service time.
