

He was united in marriage to Vivian Essary Mask on October 23, 1950. They shared sixty-four years together. Mr. Mask was a land owner, farmer, and logger his entire life. He had a successful logging business for years, and knew every aspect of the trade. He could grow some of the largest watermelons, loved making homemade ice cream, and having “family fish fry’s.” He enjoyed Ford trucks, trading with his friends at Biggers Hardware, going out to eat and collecting knives. He had a vast knowledge of knives, excelled in sharpening them and owned a huge selection. He loved his family and enjoyed friends and neighbors coming by to visit.
He departed this life on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Cornerstone Health and Rehab Center at the age of 85. He was a Christian and a member of South Corinth Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife; Vivian Essary Mask, son; Jerry Wayne Mask & wife Loretta, daughter; Patricia Mask Shortnacy, grandchildren; Josh Kelly, Keith and Michael Shortnacy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by a grandson Steven Franklin Cornelius.
