Willard E. Hardwick

Funeral services for Willard Edward Hardwick, 89, are set for 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, November 15, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Cecil Woodruff and Bro. David Robbins officiating. Burial will be at Little Flock Cemetery.

Mr. Hardwick died Friday, November 12, 2010, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born Wednesday, November 24, 1920 to the late Rufus and Ice Mae Hardwick. He was a member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church, a grocery salesman and formerly worked for Memphis Press Scimtar.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Vearl Hardwick; one brother, Douglas Hardwick; one sister, Ruth Genova; and a grandson, Michael Ray Hardwick.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie Hardwick; daughter, Sandra Odom and her husband Tommy; two sons, Gene Hardwick and his wife Patsy, and Tommy Hardwick and his wife Peggy; grandchildren, Keith Hardwick and his wife Kim, Ken Hardwick and his wife Alisha, Bryan Hardwick and his wife Gayle, Rebecca Harrison and her husband Don Jr., Michael Odom and his wife Anne, Alisha King, John Hardwick and Lauren Blakney and her husband Kevin; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Visitation will on Saturday, November 14th from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
