Graveside service with Military Honors for William E. “Bill” Parker 73, are set for 11:00 a.m. Friday at Corinth National Cemetery.
Bill died October 20, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born January 21, 1945 in Cincinnati, OH. To the late Robert and Beatrice Parker. He was a former eagle scout and was a paper boy there in Kokomo. He was a graduate of Kokomo High School, were he was on the wrestling team that won two state championships. After high school he joined the US Marine Corp and severed in Vietnam, receiving the rank of corporal. Bill moved to Corinth in 1978 with Hall’s of MS/World Color. Over the years he was a mechanic, machinist, truck driver, greens keeper, golf ball hunter, ok karaoke singer, great shot, lover of history , crappy golfer, past VFW Post Commander and a father, son, brother, uncle, husband, friend and always a Marine “Semper Fi”.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Parker; parents; brother, Mike Parker.
He is survived by his children, Robert Parker of Austin, TX. Barbara Parker of Tupelo MS., Shannon Anderson of Canyon Lake, CA; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
