Barbara, Aline (née Decaire) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our cherished mother and grandmother on Friday, December 27, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre, at the tender age of 89.
She now joins the love of her life Michael Barbara (2008), her treasured son David (2024) and daughter Deana (2011).
Cherished and devoted mother of Debra (Jim Baker) and Dale (Marie Anne Paquette).
Her memory will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Michael (Emma), Julia and William Baker, Leah and Steven St-Denis and Emily Barbara.
She will be dearly missed by her sister Margaret (late Yves) and by her loving brother-in-law Lloyd (Marie) Barbara.
Predeceased by her parents Michael and Regina (née Chretien) Decaire and by her siblings Maurice (late Norma), Helene (late Rolland), George (late Nancy), Pauline (Hubert) and Frederick “Ted” (Liliane).
In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482).
Family will be in attendance at St. Finnan’s Basilica (72 St. Paul Street Alexandria, ON) on Thursday, January 9, 2025 to greet guest from 12:00PM to 1:00 p.m. prior to a Memorial Mass taking place at 1:00PM with Father Adolphus officiating.
Interment will be held at St. Finnan’s Cemetery in the Spring.
