Loving wife of Allan Gibbs for 63 years. Cherished mother of: Bernard Gibbs (Zoila Gibbs), Kevin Gibbs, Nancy Gibbs (Raymond Miller) and Paul Gibbs. Treasured grandmother of Peter (Meaghan Rachelle), Iona, Matthew, Trevor, Nigel and Sarah. She will be dearly missed by her siblings Jean Yves Fortier (Denise) and Nicole Dupuis (Lucien).
Andree is predeceased by her parents Jean Fortier and Simonne Desilets; and one brother Pierre Fortier (late Sheila).
She will be fondly remembered for her work at Eaton’s, Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital and for her volunteer work with the Montreal Oral School for the Deaf.
In keeping with Andree’s wishes cremation has taken place.
Arrangements under the care and direction of M. John Sullivan Funeral Home 341 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Peter’s Catholic Church on Saturday August 17, 2024 at 11AM.
Interment will be held at a later date.
