Well, so long, Audrey. I will miss your cheery chime-ins on Facebook. I think you were the only octagenarian among my online friends and I was so delighted when you joined. It made it easy to keep up with news.

You were the absolute anchor of your family and it was so evident how much you loved your kids. You had a keen mind and a keen wit. Humour helps us through the worst of our trials. You had humour in abundance.

Sam, Kathy, Patty, George, I know you will miss your mom a lot. You won't see  her in person but you sure will keep her spirit in your hearts and know she will always be with you. The best part of your mom is that she loves you all and will continue to do so. A body may be destroyed; energy and spirit cannot.  Ask for her help when you need her. I know she will continue to be your guide. 

I am so sorry I cannot be there to say goodbye and celebrate Audrey's brave life with all of you. I love you.

Sam and Kevin, I'm so sorry for your loss. Sam, I'm sure it has meant a lot to your Mom that you were there for her and with her at the end of her life, as I'm sure it has meant a lot to you too. I don't think I ever met Audrey, but she looks like she had a strong, fun spirit, and I know she raised a fantastic daughter. My love and hugs to you and your family.

the Murphy home was my home away from home while growing up. So many good memories and too few words. RIP sweet lady. .... jennifer

i knew you for far too short a time, but can recall you had the keen wit and the kind heart of a true maritimer. mostly, i'll remember you for your courage and strength to raise four beautiful, loving children --  largely on your own. may you rest in peace Audrey -- knowing your spirit has not been forgotten, and that your roots grow much deeper than the frost. vaya con dios.

Going to miss you Aud. Some of your stories were funnier than heck.
