Daniel Danny Armand Bickerstaffe

BICKERSTAFFE, Daniel Armand, suddenly on Friday, April 8, 2016 in his 62nd year, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Cornwall, Ontario, on November 27, 1954, he was the dear son of Annette Marie Rose (Proulx) and (the late) Ronald James Bickerstaffe. Beloved husband of Dianne Leroux, whom he wed on December 1, 1973 and father of Derek (Kathy), Surrey, B.C. and Lee (Kelly) of Victoria, B.C. He also leaves behind, one grandson, Samuel, Surrey, B.C., his mother in law, Agnes Leroux, Cornwall, ON and several nieces and nephews. Danny will also be greatly missed by his brother Michel (Cindy Chalette) of Ingleside ON, brother Steven of Toronto ON, sister, Joy (Victor Seguin) of Cornwall ON and sister, Kim (Kevin Lalonde) Kingdom of Bahrain. He was the first born grandson, and godson of the late Armand F. Proulx (1912-1973) and Delisca “Sarah” Cayer (1912) who predeceased him on February 29, 2016. Danny was a devoted son, grandson, brother, husband, grandfather and uncle. Friends and family will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from City Hall) Cornwall on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 10am – 11:45am. The Funeral Liturgy will take place in the chapel of the funeral home at 12 Noon followed by cremation. Rite of Committal, Salem Cemetery, Summerstown, ON at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to a trust to be established for Danny's grandson, Samuel, would be appreciated by the family.
