We take comfort in knowing that God welcomed David into his loving arms surrounded by the people he loved most, his family and his Community Living Glengarry, Dominion Street family, where he peacefully took his last breath.
David was a special son to Aline Barbara and a cherished brother to his sister Debra (Jim Baker) and his brother Dale (Marie Anne Paquette).
He adored his nephews and nieces, Michael (Emma), Julia, and William Baker, Leah and Steven St. Denis and Emily Barbara. He was predeceased by his loving father Michael and his dear sister Deana.
David’s infectious smile and teasing nature will be deeply missed by anyone who knew him; we take solace that he was welcomed home by so many of his departed family and friends who stood waiting.
His legacy of love and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the kindness and friendship he so cherished throughout his lifetime.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482).
A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Finnan Basilica (72 St. Paul Street Alexandria, ON) on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Community Living Glengarry Inc, 332 MacDonald Blvd, Alexandria, ON K0C 1A0, would be appreciated by the family.
