David John Petepiece

Petepiece, David John - passed away suddenly at his home in Williamstown, Ontario, on June 27, 2025 aged 79 years. David was predeceased by his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Barbara (née Blanchard), his parents, Clarence and Inez (née Weatherhead), and his brother and sister-in-law Gerald and Elizabeth Blanchard. He is deeply missed by his children, Kathryn (Andrew Dion) of Brockville, Ontario and Michael of Ottawa, Ontario, and by the rest of his family and friends including his brothers Andrew (Patricia), Douglas, and William, as well as his six nieces and nephews and two great-nephews.

A proud civil engineer, David worked with integrity and dedication at Transport Canada and the Upper Canada District School Board and was a gifted sailor and motorsports enthusiast. He was known for his generosity towards others, his willingness to lend a hand without fanfare, his steady intelligence, and his quiet strength which touched many. Arrangements are entrusted to M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt St., Cornwall (613-938-1039). A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate his life.
