It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Edmond “Moe” Cholette at Granite Ridge Care Community in Stittsville, ON surrounded by family on Tuesday January 7, 2025, at the age of 87 years.
Beloved husband to Helen Cholette (née Villeneuve). Loving father of Donna Cholette (Michael O’Shea), Deborah Cholette, and Michael Cholette (Tina Kafenzakis). Proud grandfather of Deryk, Chantal, Karmen, Kieran, Natalie, Patrick, Sophie, Caleb, Meghan, Kristopher, and Ronan; and great grandfather of 13 great grandchildren. Treasured brother of Arthur Cholette (late Jean) and Jean Paul Cholette (late Ghislaine).
Edmond is predeceased by his parents Emile and Blanche (née Major) Cholette; and his siblings Gaetane Cholette, Laurier Cholette, Lorenzo “Larry” Cholette, Mary Jane Grant, Rita Schenk, Aline Menard and Charmaine Quenneville.
In keeping with Edmond’s wishes cremation has taken place.
Family will be in attendance at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN WEST BRANCH 20 SEVENTH STREET WEST, CORNWALL on Tuesday January 14, 2025 between the hours of 12:00PM to 2:00PM prior to a Service of Remembrance that will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 2:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ottawa or to Muscular Dystrophy Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
