Fred is survived by his four children: Jayden, Andrew, Erin, and Joanne, along with a loving extended family of siblings, nieces, nephews, and chosen kin who have shared life’s path beside him.
He was a man of deep passions, especially for cooking, HAMradio, and family. Despite living with disability and blindness, Fred made no excuses. He embraced life with humor, heart, and quiet determination. He loved to travel, was well-read and curious, and always made time to stop and smell the roses, listen to great music, and share a laugh.
Fred showed up for his family, his friends, and his community. He raised a family rooted in kindness, strength, and independence. He lived with intention, loved without condition, and leaves behind a legacy not just of memories, but of values lived out loud.
He proved time and again that love was enough.
He leaves this world having done what he came here to do, with a family who will carry him forward in our actions, our words, and our way of being.
Fred may have lived without sight, but he saw people deeply, and now, from wherever he is, we trust he sees us more clearly than ever.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life, which will take place on Saturday July 12, 2025 between the hours of 1:00PM to 5:00PM at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN WEST BRANCH, 20 Seventh Street W, Cornwall, ON.
Come have a toast to celebrate Fred!
