I don’t remember George although I may have met him when I was young. George was my father Bernard’s uncle (his father Leo’s brother). I offer my obsolescences and prayer for family that knew him.

George was the brother of my grandfather Joseph Albert of "Fred" Beaudette who passed away in 1982. While I was saddened to hear of Uncle George's passing, I was also awed by the long life he enjoyed on this earth.
While I did not see Uncle George in his later years, I do recall visiting with him on the many trips we made to Canada with my grandparents in the 1960s and 1970s when I was growing up in Massena.
He is the last of the offspring of Ferdinand and Laura. While they have all gone on to their final resting, the great Beaudette family continues to grow and be strong through their offspring. George and all the others will always be remembered and missed.
I've done a pretty complete family tree for the offspring of George's parents Ferdinand Beaudette (1876-1954) and and Laura Leroux (1875-1957). George is a descendant of the first Beaudette to arrive and settle in Canada - Jean Beaudette (1648-1714). Jean signed on as a "LaRochelle Recruit" and arrived in 1664 from Poitou-Charentes, France. He married Marie Grandin (1651-1715), a "Fille du Roi", in 1670 in the Basilique de Notre Dame in Quebec City. They ultimately settled on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River near "The Platon" of Lord Rene-Louis Chartier, now known as Lotbiniere, PQ.
I've attached a photo of George's father, Ferdinand that my grandparents gave to me before their passing.
