Geraldine Marie Robinson

Gerry was the cherished wife of James “Jim” Robinson for 68 wonderful years. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and adventures, both near and far.

She was a proud mother to Janet Lee Robinson (Steven Brodie) and Mary-Lynn Robinson, and was predeceased by her beloved son Derek James Robinson.

Gerry was predeceased by her parents Mary Idela (nee Harvey) and Reud Jones as well as her siblings Milton Jones (Joan), Fred Jones (late Ellen), and Helen Jones (late Burton Smith).

Gerry's love for her family was limitless, and she was happiest when seeing them succeed and thrive in their own endeavors. She was a beautiful wife, devoted mother, and a friend to all who knew her. A woman of many talents, Gerry was an incredible cook, a master crafter, and always eager to try new things. Whether it was curling on the rink, learning a new craft, or sharing her culinary creations, she embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and grace.

Her and Jim's many travels together allowed them to see the world, creating memories that will last a lifetime. And although her final earthly journey ended on January 2, 2026, Gerry is now embarking on a new adventure, surrounded by many guides to help her along the way.

Gerry's family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at both the Eye Institute in Ottawa and Cornwall Community Hospital, who provided her with exceptional care in her final years. If desired, donations in her memory may be made to these organizations.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes West Branch (613-932-8482) and in keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A chapel service will be held on April 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Lahaie & Sullivan West Branch, located at 20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall.
