PLOURDE, Gerard – At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Wednesday January 1, 2014. He was 85. Past long time employee of Domtar. Beloved husband of the late Theresa (Ladouceur) Plourde. Dear father of Rita Bourget, Suzanne Higgins (Dave) and Andre Plourde (Chantale). Sadly missed by four grandchildren, Michelle Marsolais (Mike), Stephanie Higgins (Jason), Joel Plourde and Éric Plourde and one great-grandchild Olivier Marsolais. Loving brother of Gisele Regimbal (late Rene), Lilianne Blouin (Claude), Francois Plourde, and Richard Plourde (Lucille). Predeceased by his parents Moise and Hélène (Martel) Plourde and one sister Rejeanne Mercille (late Roger). Friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Friday from 7 – 9pm only. Friends are asked to assemble at St. Francis de Sales Church on Saturday January 4, 2014 at 10 am for Funeral Mass. Commital to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
