Gérard "Gerry" Jacques Rose

Gérard Jacques Rose of Cornwall; age 70 years. Gerry was a successful businessman, carrying forward the Rose business presence in the area for decades. He had a profound impact on those around him both personally and professionally. Cherished companion of Carol Ferguson. Devoted father of Martin Rose (Dorothy) and Steven McDonald (Sylvia), and step-father to Courtney Brault (Zachary). Loving Pepère of Jacob, Brayden, Kodi, Amber, Bailey and Carley. Dear big brother of Simone Rose-Oliver (John). Fondly remembered by his former spouse and his lifetime friend, Louisiane Rose, his nieces and nephews and their children. He will be sadly missed by his large circle of friends. Predeceased by his parents Gérard Rose and Yvette Sauvé, his brother Maurice and sisters Marguerite and Madeleine. The Family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, (613-932-8482) on Friday September 19, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday September 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday September 20, 2025 in Precious Blood Church, 18318 County Road 2, Cornwall at 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Boys and Girls Club would be appreciated by the family.
