Richer, Gilberte Alice - passed away on Sunday August 24, 2025 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Jean “Red” Richer. Loving mother of Luc Richer (Cathy), Marc Richer (Lise), Joel Richer (Sue) and Manon Fontaine (Daniel). Cherished grandmother of Josh, Alain, Sylvain, Mélanie, Matthieu, Brittney, Adam, Marissa, Marie-Claude and Cédric. Treasured great-grandmother of Théo, Owen, Grayson, James, Ellis, Liam, Adalynn and George. Survived by her brother Réné Longtin (Estelle) and her sister-in-law Claudette Fontaine (late Richard). Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Imelda (née Gervais) Longtin and siblings, Fernand Longtin (late Lucille), Annette Desrosiers (late Etienne), Jeanne Marie Longtin, Laurent Longtin (late Louisette), Rita Séguin (late Maurice), Irène Labelle (late Lucien), Rodolphe Longtin (late Rose) and Fernande Cloutier (late Eugene). Resting at M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street, Cornwall, (613-938-1039) on Wednesday September 3, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral. Funeral will be held on Thursday September 4, 2025 at Saint-Félix-de-Valois at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
