Deeply loved wife of Robert Blakeley for over 61 years.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Joanne Blakeley and her son Tim Blakeley (Anne Loiselle) both of Cornwall. She shared a special bond with her grandchildren Katelyn Bourdon (Mathew), Kelsie Irwin (Judd Grant) and Benjamin Irwin and also with her great-grandchildren Taiden and Echo Irwin. Loving sister and best friend of Anne MacLaren (Ian).
Predeceased by her parents James K. and Mary (née Forbes) MacGillivary both of Mille Roches.
Heather was a graduate of CCVS High School and the Brockville School of Nursing. She was a proud Registered Nurse at the Cornwall Community Hospital for 36 years starting in the Maternity Ward and spending the last 18 years as a dedicated Recovery Room nurse.
The family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home, West Branch (613-932-8482) on Thursday, November 7, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
A Memorial Service will be in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Hospice Cornwall Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
