Hellen Legue

LEGUE (née Rivette), Hélène “Helen” Theresa Mary – At Woodland Villa, Long Sault, on July 22, 2025. She was 75. Reunited with her late husband, Bryan Legue. Beloved mother of Christine McDonald (Dwayne) and Larry Legue (Kristen). “Ma” will be sadly missed by her 6 grandchildren, Cylie (Jo), Jessee (Renee), Brittany (Eric), Cody (Jayme), Blake (Liz), and Makayla and four great grandchildren, Oaklynn, Brantley, Kye, Charley and one on the way. Survived by one sister, Thérèse St. Onge (late François) and by brothers, Ray (Ghyslaine), André (Suzanne), Rolly (late Mary), Frank (Andréa), Mike (Claire), and Edgar Rivette. Also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Edmond and Alberta (née Labelle) Rivette, 4 sisters, Eva Landry-Lanctot (late Omé Landry), Jackie Leduc (Marcel), Yvette Villeneuve, Sue Nicholson (Charlie), and 1 brother, Bob Rivette. In keeping with Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Committal and graveside service to follow at St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff of the Wales wing at Woodland Villa for their care and support. One of Mom’s joys was being part of the Resident Council, and all the activities provided by the Recreation team. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made out to Woodland Villa Resident Council, earmarked Life Enrichment, would be appreciated by the family, mailed to Omni Woodland Villa, 30 Mille Roches Road, Long Sault, ON K0C 1P0. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to M. John Sullivan Funeral Home 340 Pitt Street (613-938-1039).
