James Ernest Legue

LEGUE, James “Jimmy” Ernest – passed away with family by his side on Saturday June 21, 2025 at the Ottawa Heart Institute at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband of Marilyn “Lynn” Legue (née Roberts) and the late Denise Legue (née André). Loved father of Gerald Legue (Kim), Steven Legue (Natalie), Kevin Legue (Analia), James Junior “Jimmy” Legue (Kerri), Jason Legue (Julie), Shelley Vachon (Guy) and Brent Legue (Jody) and stepfather of Kristina Roberts, Cynthia “Cindy” Roberts, Erin Roberts (Jon) and Steven Roberts (Grace). Adored grandfather “Papa” of Joshua, Brittany, Cassidy, Hailey, Shelby, Braden, Tanner, Ryker, Hunter, Lisa, Erin, Kelsey, Justin, Aleesha, Emily, Ethan, Olivia, Nathaniel and Merrick and step-papa of Taylor, Heath, Alisha, Chase, Michael, Phoenix, Isabelle and Olivia. Cherished great-grandfather “Papa” of Aiden, Tyson, Avery, Isabelle, Bentley, Payton, Keira, Calla, Christina and Sorren. Dear brother of Nora Parker (Mel). He is predeceased by his granddaughters Rhiannon Legue and Crystal-Lynn P. Legue, his parents Ernest and Ethel Legue (née Rouselle) and by his siblings, Ethel Smith (Bill), Edward “Eddie” Legue (June), Irvin Legue (Rae), Garnet Legue (Violet), Margaret Heath (Obrey), Lillian Legue, Leonia Besner (Joe), Janet Weisler (Fred), Violet Parent (Ed), Miriam “Tiny” Akins (Arnold) and Ernie Legue (Dorlene). Jimmy will be fondly remembered by his in-laws, his many nieces and nephews and friends of the family. The Legue family would like to thank the staff at the Ottawa Heart Institute for their exceptional care and support. The family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh St. W., (613-932-8482) on Thursday July 3, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by an interment at Notre Dame Cemetery.
