PARENT, Jean-Guy – paisiblement, entouré de sa famille, le lundi 30 mars 2026 à l’Hôpital communautaire de Cornwall, à l’âge de 91 ans. Époux bien-aimé de feu Thérèse (née Richard) Parent. Père aimant de Carole Mercier (Brian Doggett), France Séguin (Daniel Séguin) et Miguel Parent (Kim Franklin). Grand-papa chéri de Crystal Régnier (Dan Leblanc), Christian Mercier (Ashley Thompson), Patrick Séguin, Vanessa Parent (Vincent Roskell) et Samantha Parent. Fier arrière-grand-papa d’Alexis Régnier, Sébastien Régnier, Jayce Séguin et Talia Mercier. Fils de feu Albert Parent et de feu Marie-Rose (née Boulanger) Parent. Il laisse dans le deuil ses sœurs Louisette Roy (feu Réginald), Georgette Mercier et Ginette Poulin (Rénald), ainsi que ses frères Réjean Parent (feu Tony) et Claude Parent (Lucille). Il fut prédécédé par ses sœurs Pierrette Fortier (feu Romeo), Ghislaine Isabelle (feu Lorenzo) et Jeanne-Paul Richard (feu Guy), ainsi que par son frère Paul-André Parent (feu Ginette). La famille recevra les condoléances au Salon Funéraire Lahaie & Sullivan, succursale de l’ouest, 20, 7ième rue Ouest, Cornwall (613-932-8482), le mercredi 8 avril 2026 à compter de 9 h jusqu’à l’heure des funérailles. Les funérailles auront lieu à la chapelle commémorative du salon funéraire le mercredi 8 avril 2026 à 11h suivie par l’incinération. Peacefully passed away with family by his side on Monday, March 30, 2026 at the Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Thérèse (née Richard) Parent. Loving father of Carole Mercier (Brian Doggett), France Séguin (Daniel Séguin) and Miguel Parent (Kim Franklin). Cherished grandpapa of Crystal Régnier (Dan Leblanc), Christian Mercier (Ashley Thompson), Patrick Séguin, Vanessa Parent (Vincent Roskell) and Samantha Parent. Proud great-grandpapa of Alexis Régnier, Sébastien Régnier, Jayce Séguin and Talia Mercier. Son of the late Albert and the late Marie Rose (née Boulanger) Parent. Survived by his sisters Louisette Roy (late Réginald), Georgette Mercier and Ginette Poulin (Rénald) and by his brothers, Réjean Parent (late Tony) and Claude Parent (Lucille). Predeceased by his sisters Pierrette Fortier (late Romeo), Ghislaine Isabelle (late Lorenzo) and Jeanne-Paul Richard (late Guy) and by his brother Paul-André Parent (late Ginette).

Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh St. West, Cornwall (613-932-8482) on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral. Funeral will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 11 a.m. followed by cremation.
