John McMartin

It is with heavy hearts that our family announces that John (MacPherson) McMartin passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 80 in Sarnia, Ontario. He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his adoring wife of 55 years Darlene McMartin (Aitken). Loving father to daughter Krista (Randall) and son, Jason (Nancie). Cherished grandfather and papa to Alex Markovic and Tommy McMartin. He is survived by his sisters Betty Chaput (Lloyd), Helen Fetterly (Bill) and Marlene Zieglar. John is predeceased by his mother Roberta (Feek), his father Alexander MacPherson and step-father Henry McMartin. Predeceased by his brothers, Donald MacPherson McMartin, Norman McMartin, James McMartin, Harry McMartin, and his sister Aileen Bingley.

Cremation has taken place and honoring John’s request, a Celebration of Life will be held in Cornwall, Ontario on Friday, December 8th, 2023 at St. John’s Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. As per John’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. John’s Presbyterian Church and Hospice Cornwall. The family would also appreciate memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Bluewater Health, Sarnia for their incredible care of John in his final days.
