Jack was raised in Prescott, Ontario, the Son of hard working Irish Immigrants. Jack was working for the Hydro when he met Sally Trenear, the love of his life, who he promptly married and raised a Family with.
It was during this time that he began a long career with Pitt's Engineering Limited which took him & his Family on adventures all across Canada and to all 3 Coasts.
Jack was recognized for his ability, strong work ethics, and his instinctive ease of the work at hand.
It was not long before Jack rose to the top of his Field, as Project Manager, then as Executive Consultant where he earned many Awards and Citations for his exemplary efforts.
He was truly happy with his life and Career.
A devout Father & Family man, and gave his Children many examples of life to live by.
An acclaimed Wood Carver with several of his Carvings in the Ontario Tourism Buildings & Art Galleries.
He also had the proclaimed "Irish Green Thumb" of his Irish Parents, and could grow any flower, shrub, rose bush, or vegetable with ease and abundance. A great flair with his cooking skills as well.... Stew's, Spaghetti, and also Canning were a small example of his abilities.
A man of many options & opportunities who took advantage of every aspect of life and lived it fully and happily... he certainly left a distinctive impression on everyone who knew him....
It is Dad's choice to skip over the wake/visitation.
He requests instead,... to his Family & Friends, that you remember him, smiling, laughing,
happy, and full of positive (Irish) mischief, and to always keep a perfectly positive image of him in your memory.
As per Jack and Sally’s wishes a Celebration of life will take place for them at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home West Branch 20 Seventh Street West Cornwall Ontario in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Interment, St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery to follow.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated.
