Beloved husband of Suzanne Sharpe (née Gadbois).
Loving father of Devon Brown, Cole Brown, Jeffrey Sharpe and Sarah Landry. Treasured brother of Tammy Sharpe. Cherished uncle of Shannon Sharpe (Alex). Fondly remembered by his best friends Sam Bladoew (Bonnie), David Dick (Liz) and John King (Marian) and his sister-in-law Joanna McRae (Brad). Sadly missed by his 6 dachshunds.
Predeceased by his mother Shirley Sharpe (née McCallum) and his sister Bonnie Sharpe.
Mitch is also survived by his forever fan, Big Brother Jeffrey Shearer (Reet), who met the seven-year old Mitch and bound him to the Shearer family forever. Jeff and Anne-Marie (d.2011) welcomed the feisty little kid from downtown Toronto into their life at Long Shadows and into their hearts, and it gives Suzanne some peace to know that Mitch will be somewhere with Anne-Marie (his most trusted human) in the place where good people go when they leave us.
Mitch also had the best neighbours anyone could ask for; he was always there for them, and he knew he could lean on them when and if needed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, 613-932-8482 on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Cornwall and District would be appreciated by the family.
