Monica Frances McDonald (Cummins) was born in Cornwall, Ontario on April 11, 1928. She entered peacefully through Heaven’s gates on July 9, 2015. She is predeceased by her loving husband Clement, and her eldest son Jeff.
Monica was the cherished, loving and adored “Mom” to Timothy (Sherree), Long Sault, Donna Moak (Dale), Lunenburg, Glenn (Darlene), Halifax, Nova Scotia, John (Kim), Long Sault, Kevin (Sattabongkotch), Airdrie, Alberta, Carolyn Markou (Nick), Metcalfe. She was a doting “Grandma” to Angela Alguire (Aaron), Matthew Moak (Carolyn), Joshua Cunningham (Alysha), Amara McDonald, Jacob and Ella Markou and Alexander McDonald. Loving “Great-Grandma” to Olivia and Alexandra Alguire. Mom had an unwavering faith in God and touched the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by her sisters-in-laws, Imelda Wheeler, Anna McDonald and Catherine McDonald and her brother-in-law, Frank Corr. She was predeceased by her sisters, Myrtle Corr, Sheila Johnson and brother George Cummins. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Resting at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN, CORNWALL FUNERAL HOME, WEST BRANCH, 20 Seventh St. West, (613-932-8482) from 2 pm Tuesday. A celebration of Monica’s life will be held in Long Sault Pentecostal Church on Wednesday July 15, 2015 at 1 pm. The family will be in attendance from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm Tuesday and on Wednesday from 11 am . Interment St. Andrews Parish Cemetery.
