Ponnamma Sathasivam (Chellam akka)

Born in Tholpuram, Sri Lanka, formerly lived in Thondaimanaru, Sri Lanka and resided in Cornwall, Canada.

Ponnamma was the beloved wife of the late Sathsivam Nadarajah and sister of Mahadevan Kumarsamy. She was the cherished mother of Santhanaluxmy (Sriskantharasa), Vijayaluxmy (Kuhaneswaran), of the late Balamuralitharan, Mohanakumar (Subajini), Sivalojini (Rajkumar), Senthilselvi (Jeyapalan).

She was a loving grandmother of Balakumar (Abi), Pakeerathan, Thanusha (Johny), Harini, Sathajanan, Ishani, Nirveash, Kishori, Pranav, Janani, Senthuran, Sajani.

She was also a proud great-grandmother of Mowriyah, Devina and Ruthubalan.

She was the loving matriarch and heart of our family, a woman whose love, strength and kindness shaped generations. Known for her warmth and endless care for everyone around her, she created a home filled with laughter, comfort and unwavering support. Through her comforting meals and selfless love, she made every person feel welcomed and truly at home. As a devoted mother and grandmother, her presence brought people together and her love will continue to live on in our hearts.
