Mr. Rene Maurice Patenaude

PATENAUDE, Rene Maurice – Peacefully with his family at his side at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Tuesday May 2, 2017. Rene (Pat) Patenaude at the age of 85 years. He was the beloved husband of the late Anita Armande (Beaudry) Patenaude. Dear father of Suzanne Massie (Donat), Richard Patenaude (JoAnn), Ronald Patenaude (Diane), Raymond Patenaude (Jacqueline) and Robert Patenaude (Micheline). Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren, Alain, Kim, Nicole, Michelle, Donald, James, Joshua, Samantha, Brianna, Joel, Matthew and 15 beautiful great grandchildren, Zoé, Méliane, Niko, Miguel, Théo, Kyle, Danika, Jade, Madison, Kellan, Abel, Gloria, Eleanor, Sonny and Theodore. Survived by one brother Roland Patenaude. Predeaceased by his parents, Philbert and Albertine (Lauzon) Patenaude and one sister, Rita Sprague. Family and friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Thursday from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm and on Friday from 12 noon – 1:15pm. Funeral Liturgy, Friday May 5, 2017 in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:30pm followed by cremation. Rite of Committal, Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations (by cheque) to Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation or Hospice Cornwall - Carefor would be appreciated by the family. Our family woul like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bergeron and the nursing staff of palliative care for their compassiontowards our dad and going out of their way to make him comfortable and being supportive to his family..
