Rhéal Houde

Beloved husband of the late Madeleine Houde (née Major). Loving father of Pierre Houde, Joanne Fortier and Anne Charbonneau (Dan). Cherished grandfather of Stephanie Fortier (Derick Cormier), Roxanne Charbonneau and Liana Charbonneau (Tyler White) and great grandfather of Anika Cormier.

Rhéal will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Rhéal was the last remaining member of a large family. He made the most of his early retirement, always up for a drive or a weekend trip. He and Madeleine were joined hand in hand in their adventure in life for 62 years of marriage.

Predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Anna (née Verville) Houde; as well as his siblings: Émilien Houde, Olivette St-Amour (late Claude), Réjeanne Houde, Monique Houde, Florianne Prince (late Lionel), Corona Carriere (late Roger), Isabelle Davidson (late Gérard), Adrienne Nadeau (late George), Jeanne-D’Arc Davidson (late Edward), Solange Deguire (late Hector), Gilles Houde (late Thérèse) and Françoise Renaud (Charles).

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street Cornwall (across from city hall). A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11:00am at Paroisse du Sacré Coeur, 225 Highway 34, Alexandria, ON K0C 1A0.

Rite of Committal to follow at Cimetière Sacré Coeur, Alexandria.
