I only met Rob a handful of times through mutual friends in Ottawa.  Each time he was so nice, always with a smile on his face.  You could tell that he genuinely cared about people, even those he didn't know very well.  Even though we barely knew each other, he had a positive and lasting impact on me.  My heart goes out to his family and friends for their their tragic loss.  He will be missed greatly, and never forgotten.

There are simply no words to express the sadness of this tragic loss. To me, Rob was not only a former co-worker, but also one of the funniest and kindest guys I have ever known. He was always ready to help the people around him, and always made an effort to make them laugh. He made their work environment a better place. 

There is something peaceful and comforting in knowing that we may all meet again one day. Rob simply started the party without us…

Rob and I went to highschool together, and I got to know him doing drama and show choir together. He was just an all around great guy. My deepest sympathies to his family. He will be missed.

My deepest sympathies in this time that marks a loss. Rob was a light in our lives and a welcome part of so many relationships. We are grateful for the time.. and his smile! It is with sadness that I share my sympathy with those who knew Rob Delorme.

Rob was undoubtedly unique. An intelligent and cultured guy who could talk about books and music and life. He impressed me so - and what a handsome gentleman with class. 

I remember having dinner with him once and being in awe of all his adventures. He sounded fearless. I remember laughing so hard when he had missed his morning flight to New Orleans because he fell asleep in his suit ("really?!" as he would say) the night before, thinking if he had tried to STAY up late for his early flight, he'd be dressed and ready to go! And I remember one night when he offered his kind company, stayed by my side, so I wouldn't be alone and we sang Cure songs. 

Knew him briefly, but the moments always memorable. Life took us in different directions, and yet - on June 19, I was driving down around Lyon Street where I had once visited him home, where he lent me a (Ben Sherman?) sweater b/c I was cold ... I thought of him, only to be saddened by news to come to me that evening.

Wishing these candid memories reveal how much your son, brother and friend touched people's lives.

I met Rob when I first moved to Cornwall in our last year of High School.  He was a great friend!  I had moved there from Newfoundland and Rob was one of the first people to welcome me to a new city, and a new school! It was a hard time, as a teenager, to have to make "new" friends, but with Rob it was easy.  He was endearing and kind.  His sense of humour was infectious. He was a very creative individual with his writing and his drawing.  I still have a picture he drew for me one day when I was home sick and he wanted to cheer me up.  

My deepest condolences to you all!  I have a brother who passed at a very young age, also. As difficult as this is, time will lead you to a place of healing and peace.  

Rob was a very special person who I will NEVER forget.  To his parents, thank you for teaching him to be a sensitive and thoughtful person.  Because of this, he helped to make my life transition easier.

Rob, what can I say... I didn't know you as well as I would have liked to but I knew that hanging out with you would always be a treat. Your wit was beyond anything I could wrap my head around and it blew my mind. You were so sweet, funny, and the most lovely and kind-hearted person. For that, we will miss you.

I will always remember Rob as a child at Sainte-Croix where we went to grade school. He was a bright kid with a sense of humour and at the time he wanted to be an actor. I am sorry for your loss.

I remember back in the day every saturday going to fantasy realm for comics and then doing a mall shift at the food court, laughing our heads off at the "mall stars". He was hilarious and a sincere honest friend. A true original, he was even in a hip hop band with jamie hunter and matt hart. He will definitely be missed.

Rob, you were so darn cute when your mom would take you to my mom's house .. and you'd enjoy your day so much that you'd tell your mother to sit and have a cigarette so you could say with us longer.... You always had a smile on your face, even when we went to Whislter, BC with you when you lived in Vancouver.  I hope you got to do the dreams you shared with me, Louisana and acting~maybe now, wherever you are, there is a place you can fulfill that, and thank you for the highway dust whirlwind, I know that was you now. I'll remember you always, you're in my heart and soul, as well as my family who love you so much! Rob was my best freind ghrowing up. I remember playing day to night at is famliy home in the country almost every weekend and during the summer. He was always Han Solo and I Luke Skywalker or Luke and Bo Duke.The fun never stoped. It's like a home movie playing in my head over and over. We used to pretend to be asleep at the end of the movies at the drive in hoping our moms would'nt move us so we could have a sleep over.We grew apart as we became young men and I will regret not staying more in touch with him. His famliy was my famliy and big part of me growing up. Denise, Leo, Angelle, and Julie my hart and thoughts are with you now. I can't imagine what your going through.. my deepist sympathy to you all.

I have always been in awe of Rob's humour and quick wit. It was so very, very dry. He was intently self-examining without being self-effacing. He saw non-obvious and deep-rooted connections between elements of life on this rock - his red-faced tirades made me feel smarter for just standing next to him. 

I always looked forward to an evening when Rob was to be present. Made everyone who received one of those handshakes (or hugs) feel like they were in the presence of a guy who was absolutely engaged in the moment. That counts for so much.

I will miss his strong character and infectious spirit. This loss is profound.

Rob enjoyed movies and Lego with my children and always pitched in at family events. He had quirky sense of humour - I recall him cracking up watching "Prep & Landing" at Christmas in Richmond. It was obviously on to entertain the kids but he enjoyed it whole heartedly. Rob always impressed me with his kindness and consideration, his quiet strength and sunny disposition. I am so happy we got to know him and to share our family with him.
