Roland J. Morin passed away peacefully, with his wife Linda and his brother Ryan by his side, on May 25, 2026, at the age of 81. Born July 7, 1944, Roland will be remembered with deep respect and enduring gratitude for a life marked by devotion to family, steadfast love, and a generous spirit that quietly enriched those around him.
Roland was the co-founder and owner of Rosemount Tire, a business he helped build and lead for 25 years. Through years of dedicated work, he earned the regard of many, carrying himself with reliability and care—qualities that defined both his professional life and the way he showed up for others.
Above all, Roland was a beloved husband of Linda (née Payne) for 59 years, and a devoted father whose love and guidance were a constant presence. He was the cherished father of Andrea Lemont (Andrew) of Dundalk and Louise Bennett (Jason) of Wiarton, and a proud poppy of Kaitlyn Lemont (Ryan), Joshua Lemont (Courtney), and Kain Bennett. He was also a great grand-poppy of Raenah, Chloe, and Tyler, holding his growing family close with warmth, pride, and unwavering care.
Roland will be lovingly remembered as a dear brother of Jim Morin (Sandra), Roger Morin (Denise), Robert Morin (Lori), Ryan Morin, and Jeannine Dumais (the late Jacques). He was predeceased by his parents Justien Morin and Lawrence (née Ray) Morin, as well as seven brothers and three sisters.
A longtime member of the Cornwall Golf & Country Club for 42 years, Roland found enjoyment and fellowship there over decades, valuing the steady rhythms of community and the simple pleasure of time well spent.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes West Branch (613-932-8482). Messages of condolence may be left at www.lahaiesullivan.ca.
