Ron’s charisma of storytelling was an entertaining asset that he brought to his role as Village Blacksmith at Upper Canada Village, where he worked for 28 years and became a beloved figure at the Blacksmith Shop. He also Owned and operated The Village Hobby Shop along with his wife Lois, where he was able to share his love for RC Racing.
In retirement, Ron remained active in the community and could often be found at the Benson Centre, enjoying hockey games of all levels. Whether it was cheering on his grandchildren or catching up with old friends, the rink was one of his favorite places to be.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Cornwall Legion on Sunday June 29th from 2-5pm. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend, share stories, and enjoy food together as we remember and honor Ron’s life. Arrangements have been entrusted to M.
