Dear Gallant family! I was Shawn's previous officer with the 325 Air Cadets in Cornwall! I only found out about Shawn tragic passing today after receiving an email from Chantalle one of my previous cadets! To his parents, his wife, and kids, my heart is very heavy right now as Shawn was and always will be an incredible person! He was a seed that grew into an incredible harvest of love , family and friendship in Alberta and many back here in Cornwall! While Shawn is resting with God in heaven, I am sure that his spirit and his charisma will never leave us and forever he will be sadly missed! My deepest condolences to you all from my family and from former band members as well!

I will never again answer the phone and hear "Hey Sis!"... I never realized how much I would miss that. You are still so sorely missed even after all these months, my heart still hurts. I love you so much!

Shawn you have definitely left your mark! I will never be able to see an Oilers jersey or hear a Michael Buble song without thinking about you. I miss you pal. RIP.

Though I didn't know Shawn well, I sure knew his great voice! He was always singing the songs you'd want to hear...pure and clear. He sang from his heart, that was evident....and from the sounds of it, he had a huge and kind heart for all who knew and loved him. An angel just got his wings and will be joining that great choir above....and will be watching over his family and friends. Blessings and love to Shawn's family.
