OAKES, Tammy Patricia – 39, of 6 Johnson Lane, Akwesasne, PQ, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Tammy was born April 28, 1976, in Cornwall, ON, the daughter of Danny and Delores (Montour) Oakes. In addition to her parents, Tammy is survived by a son, Stance Oakes. She is also survived by one sister, Kayla Oakes (John Ransom), and 4 brothers Louie Oakes, Jason Thompson, Justin Oakes (Chelsea Sunday) and Tyler Oakes (Autumn Rourke). Loving aunt of Kyle Lewis, Raienteres Oakes, Arianna and Treyton Oakes, and Micaiya Ransom. Grand-daughter of Margaret and James Montour and Jean and the late Louis Oakes and great-grand-daughter of Mary Mae Thompson. Tammy will also be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at Homemakers, Snye Quebec., starting at 3 pm on Sunday followed by the Funeral Service at 2pm on Monday. Cremation to follow.
