It is with broken hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wesley Woodward, who left this world peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Monday, March 2, 2026, at the age of 61.
Wesley was the devoted and loving husband of Sandra (née Scobie) Woodward for over 26 beautiful years. Together they built a life grounded in love, loyalty, laughter, and unwavering support.
He was a proud and caring father to Jason Barnes (Danielle) and Jennifer Barnes (Jesse Barkley), and an adoring grandfather to Kacey and Kyle. His grandchildren were a true source of joy and pride, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Wesley was the cherished son of Herbert and Phyllis (née Papineau) Woodward. He spoke often of his parents with love and gratitude, carrying their values and strength with him throughout his life. Family meant everything to Wes — he loved deeply and wholeheartedly, and he made sure the people around him knew it.
He will be dearly missed by his sisters, Karolyn Woodward Richards (John) and Deedee Dearborn (Bob), as well as his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends. Wes had a gift for friendship — loyal, dependable, and always ready with a helping hand or a good story. His circle was wide because his heart was wide.
Wesley had a true passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The open road brought him peace and freedom, and he cherished every ride — especially those shared with friends. The rumble of a Harley, the wind on his face, and the camaraderie of fellow riders were some of his greatest joys. Riding wasn’t just a hobby; it was part of who he was.
As per Wesley’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and memories in honour of a life so well lived.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home, West Branch (613-932-8482).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada would be appreciated by the family.
Wesley’s love, strength, and spirit will live on in all who knew him. He will be forever loved and never forgotten.
