

Alan was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1924. He was the only child of Charles and Mildred Mannason. The family moved to Los Angeles in 1937. He graduated from Fairfax High School in 1943. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Army and proudly served in the 9th Armored Division during WW2. Alan survived his two adoring wives, Florence Reinach Mannason and Fay Gaunt Sussman Mannason. Family was always his top priority, followed by helping others.
His 50 year professional career was spent in wholesale liquor and wine sales. Upon his retirement, Alan volunteered in the Business School at California State University Fullerton as well as at SCORE. He enjoyed mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs and established many scholarships to support them.
Alan is survived by his son Martin Mannason (Mary), daughter Joan Kline (Owen) and step-daughters Sharon Carpe (Richard) and Nancy Sussman. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was a charitable man and hoped to set a meaningful example for his family. He will be remembered with love and missed dearly. The family appreciates donations to your favorite charity in Alan’s memory.
