Ann Marie Murray, 82, passed away peacefully in Mission Viejo on April 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted sister, aunt, and friend, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Ann was born on May 8, 1943, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and graduated from St. Paul’s High School in 1962. She went on to build a long and dedicated career, working at Haddon Craftsman Inc., the Social Security Administration, Prudential, Pacific Life, and Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
Family was at the center of Ann’s life. She was a loving daughter who cared for her parents with compassion and devotion throughout their lives. As a sister, she was steady, supportive, and always there when it mattered most.
“Auntie Ann” was a constant and joyful presence in the lives of her nieces and nephews, who treasure countless memories with her. She loved taking them to the movies, hosting sleepovers, and treating them to meals out. She found much happiness in indulging them with gifts and little surprises. As they grew older, she remained just as present—celebrating milestones, sharing in their joys, and offering comfort and wisdom in times of need. She also enjoyed doting on her great nieces and nephews at every opportunity.
Ann will be remembered for her generous heart, her kindness, and her wonderful sense of humor that brought warmth to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Murray, Martin Murray, Nan Cole, and Thomas Cole, as well as her brothers, Marty Murray and Joe Murray.
She is survived by her siblings, Richard (Edna) Cole, Mary (Andrew) Fedak, and Mary Trackler; her nieces and nephews, Ronald (Jennifer) Cole, Lauren (Johannes) Graf, Christopher (Lisa) Fedak, Andrew Fedak, Anna (Michael) Botts, Thomas Fedak, Michelle (Craig) Lanier, Pat (Erica) Murray, and Shannon (Zack) Nelson; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Zak, Nate, Evan, Theodore, Sophie, Clara, Hildy, Julia, Mary, James, Joseph, Ryley, Kyle, and Jocelyn.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church on May 7, 2026, at 4:00 pm with a Reception immediately following Mass at Big Canyon Country Club, One Big Canyon Drive, Newport Beach.
