Anne Ida Ramsay died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in Irvine, CA. She was 99. Born on May 30, 1916 in Muskegon, Michigan, she was the eldest of four daughters of Gerrit and Jenny (Meyers) Timmer. In 1939 she married Howard B. Ramsay of Muskegon, formerly of Conshohocken, PA. They had two daughters: Beryl Louise and Janice Anne. In 1951 they moved to Indiana where Anne later founded her own real estate firm, Hiatt-Ramsay Real Estate. The retired to Irvine in 1988.
She is survived by her two daughters, Beryl and Janice, by her sister, Edith Potter of Muskegon, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, who knew her affectionately as "Grannie Anne." She was preceded in death by her loving husband in 1994, and by two of her sisters - Jean Grinwis and Geraldine Toman.
A memorial service is to be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 20th at University United Methodist Church in Irvine. Other arrangements are being handled by Pacific View Mortuary of Corona del Mar.
