Carroll Dennis Kempt "Denny" of Pleasant Valley, Iowa passed away peacefully in Laguna Niguel, California on October 29, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born on June 4, 1939, in Bettendorf, Iowa.

A Life of Service and Engineering

Denny grew up and graduated high school in Bettendorf, Iowa and following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from November 19, 1960 until November 18, 1964.

After his honorable discharge, he embarked on a distinguished and lifelong career as a mechanical engineer. His professional journey began at International Harvester and concluded with his retirement from Case International in Moline, Illinois. His dedication and expertise contributed significantly throughout his years in the industry.

Family & Legacy

Denny Kempt leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory. He is survived by his two daughters, Victoria Jakovich, Patricia Cuomo-Prater, their spouses, two stepchildren Gary Keehnar and Rich Keehnar, their spouses, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He will be remembered for his fun-loving sense of humor and kind demeanor. Mr. Kempt will be cremated and his ashes laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park alongside his previously deceased wife, Carol Finch-Kempt. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Spring of 2026.
