Uncle Charlie I will always remember my visits to Capistrano, fishing and you working on the MG. Your smile and laugh was so contagious. Love you.

Oh Charlie, for 57 years we made each other laugh,shared good times, lean times. When I called on your birthday we laughed so hard I was teary-eyed, now I am teary-eyed because I will miss my dear friend. I will listen for the laughter that is sure to be heard when you and Renie connect.

Those photographs reminded me of wonderful times with the Chapman family.  Renie and Charlie are together again, lighting up heaven with their smiles.

Uncle Charlie,
You have always been a constant in our lives.  Just hearing or saying your name brings a smile and joy to those of us who were blessed to have you as a part of our lives.  I'll have to use my memories now to fill the physical void, I have lots.  Rest in peace uncle, you were and still are loved.  Give all our loved ones a big hug.

Hi Uncle Charlie, you have always brought a smile from the inside out. Over 40 years later, I remember the fantastic times swimming with Aunt Irene,  Linda, Christi, Jill and you. Grandpa Charlie was such a blessing to me. He always made me feel like I was family. He has always been lovely to me and my family. I am so grateful that I got to know him and I am so saddened by this loss. I know that we will someday meet again. I love you Grandpa Charlie! I will never forget you.

Dad I will continue to use my eyes to see for you.  I will continue to use my nose to smell the fresh flowers and fresh air that each day brings for you.   I will continue to use my taste buds to enjoy a fresh cup of hot coffee, mom's chilie beans, fruit cake and bread pudding for you. I will continue feel the sea breezes and the love of your grandchildren for you. Alaska was so close but yet so far. That's gonna be a hard trip to continue without you but we will experience every moment of that for you as well. I will carry on each day I have left, for you, in a way you can be very proud of.
